Project Brief
"DESIGN A CONCERT MERCHANDISE APP FOR A PUNK BAND"

IDENTITY
"DESIGN A CONCERT MERCHANDISE APP FOR A PUNK BAND"
The challenge was to design a music app appealing to a specific genre. I used scenarios to infuse personality and created "Jhonny Bonehead", a personal assistant character. Jhonny enhanced relatability and accessibility, shaping the app's design and features for user intimacy.

Designing icons was crucial for the app's vision. Punk's vibrancy, loud music, black leather, spikes, and bold hair colors needed to be mirrored in the design. Icons and colors should immerse users in the lively atmosphere of a punk venue with neon lights and vibrant merchandise stalls.

Accessibility
"MUSIC IS UNIVERSAL"
Accessibility was a significant focus during app design, especially for visually impaired users. Effort and research were invested in understanding their interactions with a shopping app, including testing with a text reader simulation. Utilizing available resources and prior research, this challenge provided valuable insights and a learning opportunity to enhance future designs' accessibility.

Example of one of the accessibility features implemented in the concept: Tutorial and learning tools for "the next billion users".
In the end
"PUNK LIVES ON"
Unthread caters to bands' merchandise needs and fosters band-fan connections. Bands can share updates, schedules, and engagement levels. For fans, it offers a reliable platform to browse merchandise, stay updated on favorite bands, and engage with the music scene—keeping users informed and connected, anytime, anywhere.
